Endeavour is a brand new imprint from Octopus Publishing, which focusses on quality non-fiction writing, from popular science and culture to business and popular psychology. Its aim is to help readers discover cutting-edge ideas, inspiring stories and new ways to look at the world and our place in it.
Having previously seen our work for Rattis Books, Octopus approached us to create a symbol and word mark for their new brand that would help evoke the sense of curiosity and discovery that sits at the imprint’s heart.
The symbol is an open book, literally. With both a hint of direction and a capital E hidden in it’s pages. The word mark, which reflects the curved pages of the symbol, is a tweaked version of Fontsmith’s FS Benjamin.
The identity will be applied across all publications, with the first release being Dark Side of the Mind by Kerry Daynes (available now from all good bookshops).
