CONDIMENT JUNKIE

Reinventing a brand in all senses

Condiment Junkie is a multi-sensory creative agency that blends together solid scientific thinking with inspiring creative to create rich sensorial brand experiences. The work they do balances the quantifiable with the unquantifiable, rational facts with shivers down the spine…

It’s a difficult balance to strike, and their previous identity was struggling to fully express what they do. A new approach was needed…

Scientific thinking with inspiring creative
Working closely with the Condiment Junkie team we shaped a new way of expressing their offer, using a sensory approach that matched their work—a blend of senses and science.

Starting with the five senses as inspiration, we built the brand both visually and verbally based around bold juxtapositions and contrasting combinations – all underpinned with a clean, rational calmness.

The buzz of science
Balancing science and emotion, the new brand has a sensory language at its heart. We introduced the idea of synaethesia (where one sense stimulates another) and onomatopoeia to bring a playful touch to the way the brand communicates.

Bold copywriting and expressive typography are combined with colours, images and textures to stimulate a visceral response – bringing a real expression to the science behind the work.

Sharp and soft, smart and sensual
At every touchpoint, we created moments where your senses were activated—from ethereal foils on textured business cards to immersive photography that whet your appetite or transported you to another place. All it all, it was a multi-sensory brand, for a multi-sensory agency.
